Clarifications:

  • Due to limited capacity for platform bookings we will prioritize 100m+ groups for Platform CBS and 90m+ groups for Platform without CBS. If it's too many booking others will be automatically downgraded.

  • If platform beams not fully booked, we will upgrade some “Autonomous on Buoys” bookings without extra cost. If someone prefer to stay in buoy in any case, please specify “no platform” in comments.

  • If equal or less than 5 buoys for PM session, all groups will be on the platform.

  • Daily platform training is new to Bohol, we are still exploring the best way to operate, there might be frequent adjustment at the beginning, please bear with us, thank you.

Safety Rules (OW)

Buddy Pairing:

  • If booking alone, you will be paired with buddies of similar depth, with a maximum of 3 people per group

  • If booking with 1 buddy, a 3rd buddy would be added to complete the group

  • If booking with 2 buddies, the group is full, and no additional buddies will be paired

  • For bookings of 80+ meters, either a group of 3 buddies or two connected groups will be ensured for safety

Boating:

  • Speed boats will be on standby near buoys until all are done for the session. For emergencies (blackout or squeeze), the speed boat will send the diver back to the centre immediately

  • In case of emergencies and while the speed boats are not around, please postpone your max attempts until boats are back in standby position

  • Swimming back to the shore is STRICTLY PROHIBITED, for all autonomous and coaching buoys

  • Medical O2 always available on board, to be taken on the boat only, for both emergency and deco.

Diving:

  • Proper long Bi-fins (to safety others), dive computer and lanyards are mandatory for autonomous training.

  • Attempting PB dives: refrain from an open line, you may request for our captains to set the line for you, and to be nearer on standby.

  • Instructors doing coaching sessions are not allowed to do a personal deep dive, since students are not capable of providing the required level of safetying.

  • VWT dives deeper than 40m during autonomous training is only allowed with:

  1. SuperHOME instructor's supervision and setup

  2. Weather/sea condition permitting

  3. Please request with our team in advance

  • Please book OW with correct TARGET DEPTH (max depth) according to your actual training plan, dive deeper than the booked TARGET DEPTH is prohibited, reasons:

  1. We pair buddy with similar depth (no more than 15m differences), based on the booked TARGET DEPTH.

  2. We assign similar depth buoy on same boat so that all buoys don’t apart too far for the boat to look after, based on booked TARGET DEPTH.

  3. We assign captains based on booked TARGET DEPTH.

Community Code of Conduct

(Autonomous Training)

Everyone is there to train and enjoy the water. Please work together, be courteous and considerate, and keep each other safe. Make sure the rules in this document are followed.

Safety for each other:

  • You're supposed to provide safety for your buddies during the whole diving session.

  • We understand that it might be exhausting to do safety after hard PB, or near-PB dives, so if someone is not able (or willing) to do safety after their deep dive they should consider paid safety divers instead.

  • Alternatively train with buddies where you have made an agreement beforehand.

Deep dives:

  • As a diver, use caution when deciding how deep dives you want to do. While five meter jumps are allowed in competition they are generally not advised in training, especially not multiple dives in a row.

  • As a safety, you should familiarize yourself with your buddies recent history, and remember: If you’re uncomfortable doing safety for a dive, set the line shallower!

Squeezes:

  • Squeezes happen. When they happen make sure you have apt resting time before you start diving again, ideally after seeing a doctor. When resuming diving, don’t go to the same depth, start diving shallow before doing deep dives again.

  • It would be polite to inform your buddies that you’re recovering from a squeeze incident, so appropriate safety measurements can be done.

  • Refer to AIDA Competition Rules chapter 5.2.5 for guidelines on rest time after squeeze.

Air borne illnesses:

  • Everyone at SuperHOME is there to improve their diving. If you have influenza, coronavirus, or other transferable ailments, be responsible and take a rest so you don’t pass this to other divers as this can easily ruin parts of their season.

  • Life on the buoy is tight, and it’s easy to pass illnesses on to your buddies, and it might also affect your ability to do proper safety.

Storage & Rental Gear

SuperHOME offers storage, wetsuits, fins, weights, weight belts free-of-charge, only for use at SuperHOME, procedure and conditions as below:

  • Should you require storage and/or rental gear, kindly seek assistance from the admin team (Maila, Javey).

  • Record the gear rental on the whiteboard in collaboration with the admin team.

  • Upon completing your training or course, please ensure you return the gear directly to the admin team. This is to be done upon departure from Panglao or after your students have finished their course, rather than after each session.

  • In the event of loss or damage to rental gear, compensation will be required as per the provided price list.

  • Rental gear is provided free of charge but is exclusively for use at SuperHOME; please refrain from taking it outside the premises.

  • A penalty of 2000 PHP will be imposed for any rental gear that is left unattended or taking outside the center, or not personally returned to the admin team following the training or course.

  • For individual training sessions, the freedivers borrowing equipment will be held accountable.

  • In the context of coaching or courses, it is the responsibility of the instructor to ensure the return of gear borrowed on behalf of their students.
